As I suppose a manufacturer's mark on the top of your samovar is in Russian –“САЛИЩЕВ” –in English that is as “SALISTCHEV”. This trade mark of “САЛИЩЕВ” (brand) was well known not only in Russia but even abroad – the fact that you have inherited antique samovar of “САЛИЩЕВ”s production is true evidence of it. There were eleven samovars manufacturing enterprises of different owners of САЛИЩЕВ’s dynasty in Tula from 1850 up to 1917. But in spite of that all САЛИЩЕВ’s samovars were very nice looking forms and of good level of manufacturing.
That’s all I can shortly tell according the manufacturer's mark on the top of your samovar.
